My latest update was posted here: <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/Walid_Update1\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/Walid_Update1<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Walid&#8217;s adorable daughter, Mays, 15 years old, emailed me the letter below. She asked that I share it with anyone who can help. To me, that means each and every one of us.<\/p>\n<p>Help me answer Mays by sharing this letter with your local Jewish community; Israel is, after all, holding him her father in their name. It was unexpected. It was the lawyer. When we answered his voice was<br \/>\nhappy, flying in the sky, and he was so excited. We asked him what is going on<br \/>\nand he said that today he received a verdict that is one of the best verdicts<br \/>\never made for someone being held by <\/span><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;; font-size: 12.0pt;\">Israel<\/span><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;; font-size: 12.0pt;\"> under Administrative<br \/>\nDetention.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;; font-size: 12.0pt;\">We were<br \/>\nsurprised and kind of mixed up so we asked what is going on one more time and he<br \/>\nanswered simply that my dad, Waleed, was going to be released in two weeks, on<br \/>\nJune 22! The next question was: what happened? He said the judge in the last<br \/>\ncourt hearing said that dad didn\u2019t have any new confidential evidence presented<br \/>\nagainst him and the Israeli military judge decided that he should be released.<br \/>\nThis is why the lawyer was so happy and he was sure that dad was going to be<br \/>\nreleased on June 22.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;; font-size: 12.0pt;\">From that<br \/>\nmoment, me, my sister, and my mom started to prepare for the reception on June<br \/>\n22nd. We started thinking of what were going to wear and which food my dad<br \/>\nprefers and the way we are going to meet him in front of the prison and many<br \/>\nother small details.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;; font-size: 12.0pt;\">But this<br \/>\nhappiness was short. Sunday was gone and we were happy because another day passed<br \/>\nand only a few days were left. This was on Sunday, but Monday came and it<br \/>\nwasn\u2019t a good day because we got bad news. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;; font-size: 12.0pt;\">Israel<\/span><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;; font-size: 12.0pt;\"> extended my dad\u2019s<br \/>\ndetention by three more months. This is the reason I have lost all hope toward<br \/>\nthese courts. The problem is that the judge, himself, said that there was no<br \/>\nnew confidential evidence and there was no reason to keep my dad in prison. So<br \/>\nwhy did they extend his time? I need an answer!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;; font-size: 12.0pt;\">Christmas<br \/>\nis gone and he is not with us. Also, Easter is gone and he still not with us. Summer<br \/>\nis going and he is not with us. All our birthdays are gone and he didn\u2019t attend<br \/>\nthem. Ramadan is coming soon and he will not be with us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;; font-size: 12.0pt;\">So I need<br \/>\na person to tell me when my father is going to be with us in order for me to<br \/>\nknow how to plan for my future.
